It was probably drawn by a pilot who’s trying to build hours so he/she can meet the new 1,500 hour requirement for ATP certification.
I was just looking at the number of hours I need to get IFR certified. At the rate I’m flying, it will take me about six months and another $5k to meet the requirements. I really want the certification so I can fly even when visibility is crap. It’s the only way I’ll ever have a chance to fly between Baton Rouge and Houston.

I can only think that they are drinking. It would get more entertaining as the flight goes on. First minute to 2 minutes from when the wheels are up is interesting and fun, and the last 3 minutes or so. The rest is mind numbingly dull. Locked in a metal box with another person for hours on end gets old. It only takes a few legs before you know everything about the other guy. I’ve made some great friends and learned a lot to interesting things from talking in the cockpit, but it does get dull.
